This eliminates the need for a second blood draw when reflex testing is needed.
This combined test is ideal for initial HCV screening — particularly in adults being screened for the first time, patients with risk factors, and during pregnancy. Active infection is confirmed by detectable viral load and supports decisions about curative antiviral therapy. Sample type is serum or plasma.
