This test is used to evaluate patients with kidney stones, investigate hypercalcemia or hypocalcemia, work up suspected primary hyperparathyroidism (especially familial hypocalciuric hypercalcemia), and assess bone disorders such as osteoporosis. Patients receive specific collection instructions to ensure accurate results. Sample type is a 24-hour urine collection.
